    Start your journey from Elk Neck State Park. Head southwest on MD-272 S for approximately 8 miles. Merge onto US-40 W and continue for about 15 miles. Take the exit onto I-95 S towards Washington. After around 15 miles, merge onto US-301 S, which will take you across the Potomac River. Continue on US-301 S and then take the exit for MD-5 S toward Leonardtown. Follow MD-5 S for about 12 miles, then turn left onto Point Lookout Rd. Continue straight for about 8 miles until you reach Point Lookout State Park, located at 11175 Point Lookout Rd, Scotland, MD 20687. Note that there may be a small entrance fee to access the park.
