From Gaithersburg, head to the Gaithersburg Metro Station. Take the Ride On Bus Route 55 towards Rockville. Get off at the stop at Montgomery Mall. From there, transfer to Bus Route 34 towards Glen Echo. Get off at the stop on MacArthur Boulevard and Cabin John Park. From the bus stop, walk approximately 10 minutes down MacArthur Boulevard towards the C&O Canal. You will see signs for Lock 8 along the way.
