From the Transit Center, take the Ride On Bus Route 55 towards the Shady Grove Metro Station. Once you reach Shady Grove Metro Station, buy a SmarTrip card if you don't have one, and board the Red Line train towards Glenmont. Stay on the train for about 30 minutes and get off at the Gallery Place-Chinatown Metro Station. Transfer to the Yellow or Green Line towards Branch Avenue or Greenbelt, respectively. Get off at the L'Enfant Plaza Metro Station and finally transfer to the Blue Line towards Largo Town Center. Get off at the Federal Center SW Station. From there, walk towards the National Mall. The Taft Memorial Carillon is located near the intersection of 17th St NW and Constitution Ave NW.
