    If you're in downtown New Bedford, start at the New Bedford Whaling Museum located at 18 Johnny Cake Hill. From there, head northeast on Johnny Cake Hill toward Union Street. Turn left onto Union Street and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Purchase Street. Turn right onto Purchase Street and walk until you reach the end of the street. You will then see the bus terminal on your right. Board the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus #60 towards Providence. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach Providence. Once you arrive in Providence, get off at the stop on Atwells Ave. Walk north on Atwells Ave for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at the Federal Hill Heritage Center located at 286 Atwells Ave.
