Walking
If you are near the Matamoros city center, start by heading south on Calle 12. Continue straight until you reach Avenida Francisco I. Madero. Turn left onto Avenida Francisco I. Madero and walk straight for about 10 minutes. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Keep an eye out for the large intersection with Calle 9. Once you reach Calle 9, turn right and continue walking for another 5 minutes. You will see the Monumento A La Madre on your left at the intersection of Calle 9 and Calle 4.
Public Transport
From any major bus stop in Matamoros, board a local bus heading towards the city center. Ask the driver to drop you off at the stop near Avenida Francisco I. Madero. Once you get off, walk south on Avenida Francisco I. Madero until you reach Calle 9. Turn right on Calle 9 and continue walking until you see the Monumento A La Madre on your left side. It should be about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Matamoros. Start from the central plaza and head south on Calle 12. When you reach Avenida Francisco I. Madero, turn left and cycle straight for about 10 minutes. You will pass various local businesses. Turn right onto Calle 9, and continue cycling until you reach the Monumento A La Madre, which will be on your left. Make sure to follow any local cycling regulations and use designated bike lanes where available.
