Getting There

  • Bus

    From Queretaro city center, head to the 'Terminal de Autobuses' (bus station) located at Querétaro, Qro. 76000. You can take a taxi or use local transport to reach the terminal. Once there, purchase a ticket to Bernal, which is a small town near Peña de Bernal. Buses to Bernal run frequently throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Bernal bus terminal, exit the terminal and walk towards the main street.

  • Walking

    From the Bernal bus terminal, head southwest on Calle 5 de Febrero. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Benito Juárez street. Turn left onto Benito Juárez street, which will lead you into the heart of the town. Continue walking for about 10-15 minutes, and you will start to see Peña de Bernal rising in the distance. Follow the signs directing you to 'Peña de Bernal' as you approach the base of the hill.

  • Local Transport

    Alternatively, upon arrival at the Bernal bus terminal, you can take a local taxi or a shared van (colectivo) to Peña de Bernal. The taxi ride will take about 5-10 minutes. If you choose a colectivo, it will be a more affordable option but may take longer as it waits for passengers to fill the vehicle. Make sure to tell the driver to take you to Peña de Bernal.
