From Tijuana, head to the nearest bus station, which is the 'Central de Autobuses'. You can take a taxi or an Uber to get there. Once at the bus station, purchase a ticket for a bus heading to San Diego. The bus ride usually takes around 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic and border wait times. Upon arriving in San Diego, get off at the 'San Diego Convention Center' stop. From there, you can either walk or take the San Diego Trolley (Blue Line) towards 'Old Town'. If walking, head towards 'Harbor Drive' and follow the signs to 'Balboa Park'. The Timken Museum of Art is located within Balboa Park at 1500 El Prado, which is a short walk from the trolley station.

If you are staying in the downtown area of Tijuana, you can also walk to the border crossing at 'San Ysidro'. As you cross into the United States, follow the signs to the San Diego Trolley station. Once you are at the trolley station, board the Blue Line towards 'Old Town'. Get off at 'City College' station and transfer to the Green Line towards 'Santee'. Get off at 'Little Italy' station and then walk towards the waterfront and Balboa Park. The Timken Museum of Art will be located at 1500 El Prado, within the park.
