Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from downtown Mackinac Island, head north on Main Street towards the harbor. As you reach the waterfront, continue straight onto Market Street. Follow Market Street until you reach the intersection with Harrisonville Road. Turn left onto Harrisonville Road, then continue until you reach the fork. At the fork, keep to the right to stay on W Bluff Rd. Continue along W Bluff Rd for approximately 1.5 miles, and you will find Pontiac Trail Head on your left, just before the area that opens up to scenic views.

Rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in downtown Mackinac Island. Start from Main Street and head north towards the harbor. Follow Market Street and take a left onto Harrisonville Road. Continue straight, staying on W Bluff Rd. You'll bike through some beautiful scenery, and after about 1.5 miles, Pontiac Trail Head will be on your left. Remember to lock your bike at the trailhead.
