Take the exit toward Jefferson Ave. and merge onto E Jefferson Ave. Continue straight for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance to Belle Isle. Once you enter Belle Isle, follow the signs for the Dossin Great Lakes Museum. The museum is located at 100 The Strand, Detroit, MI 48207. Parking is available on-site, and there may be a small entrance fee for Belle Isle Park, which is typically $9 per vehicle.

To reach the Dossin Great Lakes Museum via public transportation, you can take a Greyhound or Megabus from various cities in Mid-Michigan to Detroit. Once you arrive at the Detroit bus station, transfer to the Detroit People Mover. Ride the People Mover to the Greektown station. From there, you can take the QLine streetcar towards the northbound direction and get off at the Mack Ave station. From Mack Ave, you can catch a local bus (such as the 25 or 26) towards Belle Isle. Make sure to check the current bus schedule as service may vary. After reaching Belle Isle, follow the signs for the Dossin Great Lakes Museum, which is located at 100 The Strand.
