If you're starting from downtown Mount Pleasant, head to the nearest bus stop for the local public transport service. Take the bus route that heads towards Charleston. You will need to transfer at the main bus terminal in Charleston. From the terminal, catch a bus heading towards West Ashley, and get off at the stop nearest to Old Towne Rd. From there, it's a short walk to Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site at 1500 Old Towne Rd.

Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Mount Pleasant. Start by heading south on Main St, then take a left onto Coleman Blvd. Follow this road until you reach the bridge leading into Charleston. After crossing the bridge, keep straight and follow signs towards West Ashley. You will eventually reach Old Towne Rd. Turn left, and Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site will be on your right.

If you're close to the center of Mount Pleasant, start walking south on Main St. Follow the street until you reach the intersection with Coleman Blvd. Turn left and continue straight until you reach the bridge to Charleston. You will find Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site at 1500 Old Towne Rd.
