If you are starting from downtown Muskegon, head west on W Western Ave toward Lake St. Continue straight for about half a mile until you reach the intersection with W Muskegon Ave. Turn left onto W Muskegon Ave and walk for about 0.3 miles. You will come to a fork; take the right fork onto Shoreline Dr. Follow Shoreline Dr as it curves to the right and leads you toward the waterfront. Continue along Shoreline Dr for approximately 1 mile until you reach the entrance to Pere Marquette Park on your right.

From downtown Muskegon, take the Muskegon Area Transit System (MATS) bus route 1, which travels toward the Lakeshore area. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location, and stay on the bus for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop at the intersection of Shoreline Dr and Channel Dr. From there, walk south on Channel Dr for about 0.2 miles until you reach the entrance of Pere Marquette Park.
