If you are starting from downtown Petoskey, head south on Mitchell Street until you reach Lake Street. Turn left onto Lake Street and continue walking until you reach the waterfront. Follow the waterfront path along Bear River Park until you reach the main road, US-31. Cross US-31 and continue walking north along Huron Avenue. The Mackinaw City Marina will be on your left at 107 S Huron Ave. It is approximately a 2.5-mile walk, which should take about 50 minutes.

For those who prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Petoskey. Start from downtown Petoskey and head south on Mitchell Street to Lake Street. The Mackinaw City Marina will be on your left at 107 S Huron Ave. This bike ride is roughly 2.5 miles and should take about 15-20 minutes.
