Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from downtown Grand Marais, head west on E Wisconsin St towards W Highway 61. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with W Highway 61. Cross the street carefully and turn left onto W Highway 61. Walk for about 0.3 miles (approximately 6-7 minutes) and you will find the Visit Cook County - Visitor Information Center on your right at 116 W Hwy 61. Look for the building with signs indicating the Visitor Center.

• Biking

  From downtown Grand Marais, rent a bike from a local rental shop if you haven’t already. Start by heading west on E Wisconsin St towards W Highway 61. When you reach the intersection with W Highway 61, turn left. Continue cycling along W Highway 61 for about 0.3 miles (approximately 5 minutes). The Visit Cook County - Visitor Information Center will be on your right at 116 W Hwy 61. There are bike racks available for parking your bike.

• Public Transport

  If you are using local public transport, check the schedule for the nearest bus stop. Take the bus route that heads towards W Highway 61. Disembark at the stop closest to the intersection with W Highway 61. From there, walk northwest for about 0.3 miles (6-7 minutes) along W Highway 61. The Visit Cook County - Visitor Information Center will be located on your right at 116 W Hwy 61.
