If you are driving, start by getting on MN-61 N from your location in North Shore. Follow MN-61 N for about 15 miles until you reach Duluth. Continue on MN-61 N which will turn into London Road as you enter Duluth. Once in Duluth, turn right onto E Skyline Pkwy. Follow E Skyline Pkwy for about 2 miles, and you'll see the Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory on your right at 3980 E Skyline Pkwy, Duluth, MN 55804. Parking is available on-site.

Public Transportation
To reach Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory via public transportation, first, take a bus from your nearest stop on the North Shore to Duluth. You can use the Duluth Transit Authority (DTA) services. Once you arrive in Duluth, transfer to bus route 4 (Duluth Heights) that goes towards E Skyline Pkwy. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of E Skyline Pkwy. From there, it’s about a 0.5-mile walk to the observatory, heading east on E Skyline Pkwy until you reach 3980 E Skyline Pkwy, Duluth, MN 55804.

If you prefer cycling, you can ride along the scenic Lake Superior shoreline. Start from your location in North Shore and take the North Shore Scenic Drive (MN-61). Follow the path along the lake until you reach Duluth. Once in Duluth, continue on E Skyline Pkwy. The observatory is about 2 miles from the city center along E Skyline Pkwy, which offers bike-friendly access. Be cautious of traffic and wear appropriate safety gear.
