From the downtown area of Winona, head southeast on 3rd St S towards the intersection with Huff St. Turn right onto Huff St and continue until you reach 5th St S. Turn left onto 5th St S, which will become Garvin Heights Rd. Follow Garvin Heights Rd for approximately 1.5 miles until you see the entrance to Garvin Heights City Park on your left at 200 Garvin Heights Rd. The park is located at the top of the hill, so prepare for an uphill walk.

Start at the Winona Transit Center located at 3rd St S and Broadway. Board the Route 1 bus heading towards East End/La Crosse. Get off at the stop near 5th St S and Garvin Heights Rd. From the bus stop, walk south on Garvin Heights Rd for about 0.5 miles. Follow the road until you reach the entrance to Garvin Heights City Park at 200 Garvin Heights Rd.

If you have a bike, start at the Winona Riverfront Trail. Follow the trail heading southeast until you reach the intersection with 4th St S. Turn left onto 4th St S and continue until you reach Garvin Heights Rd. Turn right onto Garvin Heights Rd and bike uphill for about 1 mile. The park entrance will be on your left at 200 Garvin Heights Rd. Be cautious of the incline while biking.
