To reach Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead from downtown Independence, head to the nearest bus stop at Independence Square. Take the KCATA Bus Route 29 towards 39th Street and State Line. Transfer at the 39th Street & Main Street stop to Route 57 towards 151st Street. Get off at the Switzer Rd & 139th St stop. From there, it's a short walk to 13800 Switzer Rd, which will be on your left.

If you are close to Independence's downtown area, start at the Independence Square and head west on E Maple Ave. Continue straight until you reach N Liberty St. Turn left and follow N Liberty St until it becomes 39th St. Continue walking on 39th St until you reach Main St. Cross over to catch the bus on Route 57 or, if you prefer to walk, continue south on Main St until it turns into Switzer Rd, and follow it until you arrive at Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead.
