The Enchanting Cave Monastery of Butuceni

Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, head to Butuceni, Moldova. From the center of Nistru River, take the E581 road toward the town of Rezina. Once you reach Rezina, follow the signs to Butuceni. The Cave Monastery is located near the village, and you can park at a designated area close to the entrance of the monastery. The drive typically takes about 1 hour depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Cave Monastery via public transportation, start by taking a bus or minibus from your location in Nistru River to Rezina. Buses frequently depart from major towns and cities along the river. Once in Rezina, you will need to transfer to a local bus or minibus heading to Butuceni. The fare for the bus to Rezina is usually around 15 MDL, and the local bus to Butuceni may cost around 10 MDL. The entire journey may take approximately 2 to 3 hours, depending on connections.

• Taxi

  For a quicker option, you can take a taxi directly to the Cave Monastery. Taxis are available in most towns along the Nistru River. Ensure you negotiate the fare before starting your trip; it should cost around 200-300 MDL from Rezina to Butuceni. This option is more convenient if you're traveling in a group or with luggage.
