Discover more about Centre Botanique du Jardin Exotique

The Centre Botanique du Jardin Exotique is a modern extension of Monaco's famed Jardin Exotique, created in the 1960s and renovated in 2017. Designed by architects Fabrice Notari and Rudy Ricciotti, this architectural greenhouse is home to one of the world's most important collections of cacti and succulents. The Centre's mission is to conserve a reference collection of cacti and succulents, ensuring the protection of rare and threatened species. Housing over 10,500 plants, with 85% being protected species, the center plays a vital role in plant biodiversity. The plants originate from arid regions across the globe, including America, Africa, and Asia. Visitors can explore bromeliads, aloes, globular cacti, yuccas, and agaves, while learning about their adaptation to extreme environments. The light-filled space offers a calm atmosphere and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean. The Centre Botanique is open to the public with free admission from Tuesday to Saturday.
