Place du Palais, perched high on Monaco's rocky promontory, is more than just a square; it's a journey through centuries of Grimaldi family history and a symbol of Monaco's enduring sovereignty. Although parts of the palace are open to the public, it remains a working palace, embodying a blend of history, art, and tradition. Visitors can witness the changing of the guard ceremony, a daily ritual that has taken place at 11:55 AM since 1817. The Carabinieri, in their distinctive uniforms, perform this precise military display, attracting many onlookers.From April to mid-October, visitors can explore the Palace's State Apartments, including the Cour d'Honneur, Galerie d'Hercule, Hall of Mirrors and Throne Room.
