Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from the nearest major highway, which is US-191. Take the exit toward Bozeman, and merge onto I-90 E. After approximately 4 miles, take exit 305 for N 7th Ave. Continue on N 7th Ave for about 1.5 miles, then turn right onto E Main St. Follow E Main St for about 0.5 miles and then turn left onto S Willson Ave. Continue on S Willson Ave, which will turn into Gallagator Linear Trail. Look for the trailhead parking area on your right.

  If you prefer public transportation, check the local bus services in Bozeman. The Streamline Bus Services operates routes throughout the city. You can find a route that takes you to the downtown area, and from there, it is about a 15-minute walk to the Gallagator Trail. Disembark at the Main St & N 7th Ave stop, and walk south on N 7th Ave, then turn right onto E Main St and follow the same walking directions as mentioned for car travelers.   For those who enjoy cycling, Bozeman has a bike-friendly community, and you can rent bikes from local shops.   If you're already in the vicinity of downtown Bozeman, walking to the Gallagator Trail is a pleasant option. Head south on S Willson Ave from E Main St. Continue straight until you reach the Gallagator Linear Trail. It should take you about 15-20 minutes to walk, and you’ll enjoy the local scenery along the way.
