    From downtown Whitefish, walk to the Whitefish Train Station located at 500 Depot St. Take the Amtrak train (Empire Builder) to Columbia Falls Station. The train ride takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Columbia Falls Station, exit the station and walk to the nearest bus stop. Catch the Flathead County Transit (Route 1) bus heading east towards Columbia Falls. Get off at the stop for U.S. Highway 2 E (just after the intersection with 13th St E). From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to the Montana Vortex and House of Mystery at 7800 U.S. Highway 2 E.

    If you prefer to bike, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Whitefish. Start from the center of Whitefish and head east on 2nd St toward Highway 93 N. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with U.S. Highway 2 E. Turn right onto U.S. Highway 2 E and follow the road for approximately 10 miles. The Montana Vortex and House of Mystery will be on your left at 7800 U.S. Highway 2 E. Make sure to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.
