Getting There

    If you are driving from the town of Virpazar, take the local road that leads to the fortress. Head northeast on the main road towards the lake. After approximately 2 kilometers, you will see signs for Тврђава Бесац. Turn onto the dirt road that leads uphill. There is a parking area near the base of the fortress where you can leave your car. Please note that parking may not be free, so check for nearby signs regarding any parking fees.

  • Public Transportation

    From the town of Virpazar, you can take a local bus that heads toward the nearby village of Godinje. Buses are available several times a day. Ask the driver to drop you at the nearest stop to Тврђава Бесац. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers uphill on a marked trail to reach the fortress. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes as the path can be steep and uneven.
