Car
If you are driving, start from the village of Virpazar, a common starting point for visiting Lake Skadar. From Virpazar, take the main road (E80) towards Podgorica. After approximately 5 km, look for signs directing you to Vranjina. Turn onto the road that leads towards the island of Vranjina. The drive is scenic as you will pass through beautiful landscapes and have views of the lake. Parking is available near the waterfront.
Public Transportation
To reach Vranjina using public transport, take a bus from Podgorica to Virpazar. Buses run regularly and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once in Virpazar, you can take a taxi or look for local boat services that can take you to Vranjina. Taxi costs may vary, but expect to pay around 10-15 EUR. If you opt for a boat, prices may range from 5-10 EUR per person, depending on the service.
Walking
For those already in the vicinity of Virpazar, you can walk to the lakeside and then hire a local boat to Vranjina. The walk to the lakeside is about 1 km from the town center and offers stunning views along the way. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, especially during warmer months.
