Opening times, essentials, and a few local tips gathered into one calmer, easier-to-scan planning section.
Walking
If you are in the Medina area, start by heading towards Jemaa el-Fnaa, the main square of Marrakech. From the square, walk towards Rue de la Bahia, and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenue Mohammed VI. Turn right and walk straight for approximately 15 minutes. Look for signs or ask locals for directions to the Camel Ride Marrakech, which is located near the outskirts of the Medina.
Taxi
You can easily find a local taxi in the Medina. Approach the nearest taxi stand or flag down a taxi. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Camel Ride Marrakech' or show them the address: Marrakesh 40000. The taxi ride should take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before getting in or ensure the meter is running.
Horse-drawn carriage
Look for the horse-drawn carriages (called 'caleches') near Jemaa el-Fnaa. These are a popular and scenic way to travel around the city. Negotiate the fare with the driver and request to go to 'Camel Ride Marrakech.' The ride will provide a unique view of the city and take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic.
Public Transportation
While public buses in Marrakech may not be the most tourist-friendly option, you can take bus number 1 towards 'Gueliz' and get off at the stop nearest to Avenue Mohammed VI. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Camel Ride Marrakech. Follow the main road and look for signs or ask locals for directions to the camel ride location.
