Travel Guide to Comptoir Darna

Getting There

• Walking

  If you're starting from the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square, head towards the Koutoubia Mosque, which is located just a short walk away. Once you reach the mosque, you can see the impressive minaret. From the mosque, take Avenue Mohammed VI heading southwest. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. Keep an eye out for signs that lead you to Avenue Echouhada. When you reach Avenue Echouhada, turn left, and Comptoir Darna will be about 500 meters down the road on your right.

• Walking

  If you are near the Menara Gardens, exit the gardens and head towards Avenue Mohammed VI. Walk north on Avenue Mohammed VI for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Avenue Echouhada. Turn right onto Avenue Echouhada, and after about 500 meters, you will find Comptoir Darna on your right.

• Walking

  From the Marrakech train station (Gare de Marrakech), exit the station and head towards Avenue Hassan II. Walk straight to Avenue Mohammed VI. Turn left onto Avenue Mohammed VI and continue for about 1.8 kilometers until you reach Avenue Echouhada. Turn right onto Avenue Echouhada, and Comptoir Darna is located approximately 500 meters down on your right.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a taxi, you can easily find one at various points in Marrakech. Simply tell the driver 'Comptoir Darna' or provide them with the address: 'Avenue Echouhada, Marrakech 40000.' The taxi ride will take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic, and you can ask the driver to drop you off directly at the entrance.

• Horse-drawn carriage (calèche)

  You may also opt for a traditional horse-drawn carriage, known as a calèche. You can find these carriages around Jemaa el-Fnaa. Negotiate a fare with the driver and ask to be taken to Comptoir Darna. Be sure to specify 'Avenue Echouhada' for clarity. The ride will be scenic and should take about 15-20 minutes.
