Walking
If you are in the Medina area, start by walking towards the famous Jemaa el-Fnaa square. From the square, head west along Rue Imam Ali until you reach the large road, Avenue Mohammed V. The Koutoubia Minaret will be visible from a distance due to its height. Continue walking straight on Avenue Mohammed V, and you will soon find the entrance to the Koutoubia Mosque on your left.
Public Transport (Bus)
Find a local bus stop; buses number 1 and 10 frequently travel around Marrakech. Board either bus and ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Koutoubia Mosque stop. Once you disembark, walk towards the mosque, which is located on Avenue Mohammed V. The minaret is hard to miss and will guide you to the entrance.
Taxi (Petit Taxi)
If you prefer to take a taxi, find a Petit Taxi nearby. Ensure you communicate 'Koutoubia Mosque' to the driver. The ride should take you directly to Avenue Mohammed V. Once you arrive, you will see the mosque’s minaret towering above, making it easy to locate the entrance.
Horse-drawn carriage (Caleche)
You can find horse-drawn carriages near Jemaa el-Fnaa. Hire a Caleche and tell the driver you want to go to Koutoubia Mosque. Enjoy the scenic ride through the city, and the driver will drop you off right at the entrance on Avenue Mohammed V.
