Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Jemaa el-Fnaa, the famous main square in Marrakech, make your way towards the northwest corner of the square. Look for the entrance to the Medina. Once you enter the Medina, you will see various stalls and shops. Walk straight ahead and follow the signs leading to the souks. After about 5 minutes of walking, you will come across the entrance of Souk Semmarine on your right. It is one of the main souks and is easily identifiable by its vibrant colors and bustling atmosphere.

    If you are near the Koutoubia Mosque, exit the mosque grounds and head towards Rue de la Koutoubia. Turn left onto Rue de la Koutoubia and continue walking until you reach Jemaa el-Fnaa. From there, follow the previous directions to reach Souk Semmarine.

    If you are at the Marrakech Museum, exit the museum and turn left onto Rue des Banques. Walk straight until you reach Rue de la Koutoubia. Turn right on Rue de la Koutoubia and head towards Jemaa el-Fnaa. Once you reach the square, follow the signs to the souks, and you will find Souk Semmarine on your right within a 10-minute walk.

    From the Bahia Palace, exit and head towards Rue de la Bahia. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Koutoubia. Turn left onto Rue de la Koutoubia and continue walking towards Jemaa el-Fnaa. When you reach the square, follow the signs to the souks, and Souk Semmarine will be on your right after a short walk.
