Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the central square, Place El-Hedim, head south towards the large gate known as Bab Mansour. As you approach Bab Mansour, turn left onto Avenue des Forces Armées Royales. Continue along this avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Rue de la Liberté. Turn right onto Rue de la Liberté and walk straight until you reach the intersection with Rue Al-Mouahidine. Dar El-Makhzen will be just a short walk ahead on your left.

    From the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, exit the mausoleum and head east towards Avenue des Forces Armées Royales. Once you reach the avenue, turn right and continue walking for about 5 minutes. Look for Rue de la Liberté on your left. Turn left onto Rue de la Liberté and then take the first right onto Rue Al-Mouahidine. You will find Dar El-Makhzen a short distance ahead on your left.

    Starting from the Meknes train station, head southwest on Avenue des Forces Armées Royales. Continue straight for approximately 15-20 minutes. You will pass by several shops and cafes. When you reach the intersection with Rue de la Liberté, turn left. Continue until you reach Rue Al-Mouahidine and then turn right. Dar El-Makhzen will be on your left shortly after.

    If you are at the Meknes bus station, exit the station and head towards Avenue Mohammed V. Follow this avenue for about 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Avenue des Forces Armées Royales. Turn right onto Avenue des Forces Armées Royales and walk straight for 10 minutes. Once you reach Rue de la Liberté, turn left. Take the first right onto Rue Al-Mouahidine, and Dar El-Makhzen will be on your left.
