Getting there

Walking

If you are starting from the Tangier Ville train station, exit the station and head southwest on Avenue Mohammed VI. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the intersection with Avenue de la Liberté. Turn left onto Avenue de la Liberté and walk for about 500 meters. You will pass by various shops and cafes. At the end of this road, you'll reach Place du 9 Avril 1947. From here, take the path leading into the Medina, which is well-marked. Follow the winding streets until you arrive at Pl. de la Kasbah, where York Castle is located.

Taxi

If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi. Look for a taxi stand outside your location or hail one on the street. Make sure to tell the driver to take you to 'Pl. de la Kasbah.' The ride should take about 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. When you arrive at Pl. de la Kasbah, you will see York Castle nearby.

Public Transport (Bus)

For those who wish to use public transport, you can take a local bus from various points in the city. Look for bus lines that stop at the Medina. Once you arrive at a stop near the Medina, follow the signs pointing towards Pl. de la Kasbah. The walk from the bus stop to York Castle will take about 10 minutes as you navigate through the charming streets of the Medina.
