Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Old Bagan area, walk towards the main road (Nyaung U - Old Bagan Road). Head east until you reach the junction with the road leading to the Ananda Temple. Continue walking straight; you will pass several smaller temples on your way. When you reach the intersection, take a left turn onto the road that leads to the Apalyadana Temple. Follow this road for about 10 minutes, and you will see Apalyadana Temple on your right.

Rent a bicycle from a local shop in Old Bagan. Ride east on the Nyaung U - Old Bagan Road. After about 1 km, you will reach a junction; turn left towards Ananda Temple. Continue on this road for approximately 2 km. You will pass by several other temples before you reach a fork in the road. Stay to the right at the fork, and continue for another 5 minutes. Apalyadana Temple will be on your right side.

From your accommodation in Old Bagan, hire a horse cart. Tell the driver you want to visit Apalyadana Temple. The driver will take you through the scenic routes of Bagan, passing by other famous temples along the way. The journey may take around 20-30 minutes depending on traffic and stops.
