Getting There

  • Bicycle

    If you're in New Bagan, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head south on the main road, which is 'Bagan-Nyaung U Road'. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you see a sign for Old Bagan. Turn left onto the small road that leads into Old Bagan. As you cycle, you'll see beautiful pagodas along the way. Once you reach Old Bagan, you can park your bicycle at one of the designated areas near the pagodas.

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Bagan Archaeological Museum, it’s about a 20-minute walk to Old Bagan. From the museum, head south on the main road toward 'Bagan-Nyaung U Road'. Continue walking straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You'll reach a fork in the road; take the left path which leads into Old Bagan. Enjoy the scenery as you walk, with stunning views of the pagodas surrounding you.

  • Horse Cart

    For a unique experience, hire a horse cart from one of the stands in New Bagan. Negotiate the fare before starting your journey.
