Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Golden Rock (Kyaiktiyo). Head south on the main road towards Kyaikhto. Follow the signs for Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda. After approximately 20 minutes of driving, you will reach the parking area near the base of Golden Rock. From there, you will need to take a truck or a jeep to reach Sandaw Shin Pagoda. The fare for the truck is around 5,000-10,000 MMK per person. The truck will take you up the mountain to the pagoda entrance.

Public Transport
To reach Sandaw Shin Pagoda via public transportation, you can take a local bus from the main bus station in Golden Rock to Kyaikhto. The bus fare is typically around 1,000 MMK. Once you arrive in Kyaikhto, head to the truck station (usually near the bus station) where you can catch a shared truck to the top of the mountain. The fare for the truck is about 5,000-10,000 MMK per person. The truck will drop you off near the entrance of Sandaw Shin Pagoda.

If you prefer to walk, you can hike from the base of Golden Rock to Sandaw Shin Pagoda. This will be a challenging trek and takes about 1-2 hours depending on your fitness level. Start at the parking area and follow the trail marked by signs towards the pagoda. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the path can be steep and rugged.
