Serenity Amidst Nature at Hintok River Camp

Getting There

• Long-tail boat

  From Sai Yok district, head towards the Sai Yok Noi Waterfall area. You can find long-tail boat services near the waterfall entrance. Hire a boat to take you along the river towards Hintok River Camp. The boat ride usually lasts about 30-40 minutes and offers scenic views of the surrounding nature. Make sure to negotiate the price beforehand, which typically ranges from 500 to 1000 THB, depending on the number of passengers.

• Motorbike taxi

  If you prefer a faster option, you can hire a motorbike taxi from anywhere in Sai Yok. Tell the driver to take you to 'Hintok River Camp @ Hellfire Pass' or provide them with the address: 109, Ban Had Ngew, Tha Sao, Sai Yok District, Kanchanaburi 71150. The fare should be around 100-150 THB, depending on your starting location. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes.

• Bicycle rental

  For a more adventurous option, consider renting a bicycle from one of the local shops in Sai Yok. Once you have a bike, head north on Route 323, then take a left onto the road leading to Hellfire Pass. Follow the road signs pointing to Hintok River Camp. The cycling distance is about 10 km and will take roughly 30-45 minutes. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay hydrated.

• Walking

  If you're feeling adventurous and the weather is nice, you can walk to Hintok River Camp. Start from the center of Sai Yok, head north on Route 323 for about 5 km, then turn left onto the road leading to Hellfire Pass. The walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so be prepared with water and sun protection. Look out for local landmarks to ensure you're heading in the right direction.
