Boat
To reach Inle Palace from your location on Inle Lake, start by taking a traditional long-tail boat from your nearest jetty. If you are in Nyaungshwe, head to the main jetty near the town center. Arrange for a boat ride with a local boatman, agreeing on a price before departure. The journey will take approximately 30 minutes. As you travel, enjoy the beautiful scenery of the lake and its stilt houses. Once you arrive at the vicinity of Inle Palace, you’ll see the structure on the shore. Ask your boatman to drop you off at the closest point to the palace.

Bicycle
From Nyaungshwe, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head east on the main road towards the Taunggyi road. After about 2 kilometers, you will reach a fork; take the left path which leads to the Inle Lake shore. Continue pedaling for another 3 kilometers until you see the signs for Inle Palace. The ride will take around 30-40 minutes, and there are plenty of scenic views along the way. Lock your bike at the palace entrance.

If you are staying in a nearby hotel or guesthouse in Nyaungshwe, you can take a leisurely walk to Inle Palace. Head towards the main road leading to the lake. Walk towards the east for about 5 kilometers, following the path that leads to the water’s edge. Once you reach the shore, ask locals for directions to the palace, which is located a short distance from the shoreline. The walk will take approximately 1-1.5 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the local scenery.
