To reach Mingun Pahtodawgyi from Mandalay, begin your journey at the Mandalay Jetty, located near the Mandalay Palace. You can easily walk there from the city center. Once at the jetty, purchase a ticket for a ferry heading to Mingun. The ferry ride typically takes about 30 minutes and offers beautiful views of the Ayeyarwady River. Upon arrival at the Mingun Jetty, you will see a sign directing you to Mingun Pahtodawgyi. The temple is approximately a 10-minute walk from the jetty. Follow the road straight ahead, and you will see the impressive structure of Mingun Pahtodawgyi in the distance.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Mandalay and cycle to Mingun Pahtodawgyi. Start at the Mandalay Palace and head north towards the Ayeyarwady River. Follow the signs towards the Mingun Jetty, which is about 11 kilometers from the city center. Once you arrive at the jetty, you can either leave your bicycle at a designated parking area or take it on the ferry to Mingun. After arriving at the Mingun Jetty, follow the road to the temple, which is a 10-minute walk away.
