Getting There

  • Walking

    Start at Mandalay Hill, a popular tourist spot. From the base of Mandalay Hill, head south towards the main road (Mandalay-Myitkyina Road). Once you reach the main road, turn right and walk towards the direction of the city center. Continue walking for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with 26th Street. Turn left onto 26th Street and follow it for approximately 500 meters. You will come to a junction where you should see the signs for Kyauktawgyi Pagoda. Keep walking straight, and you will see the pagoda in about another 500 meters on your right.

  • Bike

    If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Mandalay. Start at the Mandalay Palace and head east towards 26th Street. Turn left onto 26th Street and ride straight for about 2 kilometers. You will come to a fork; take the right fork to stay on 26th Street. Continue straight until you see the signs for Kyauktawgyi Pagoda. It should be about another kilometer ahead on your right side.

  • Public Transport

    Take a local bus from the central bus terminal in Mandalay. Look for bus number 30, which heads towards the Mandalay Hill area. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of 26th Street. From there, walk south on 26th Street for about 1 kilometer until you reach the junction for Kyauktawgyi Pagoda. Follow the signs, and the pagoda will be on your right side.
