Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from the Shwedagon Pagoda, head south on Pyidaungsu Yeiktha Road. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Natmauk Road. Turn left onto Natmauk Road and walk until you see the Yangon River on your right. Continue walking along the river until you reach the Strand Road (Kamanar Road). Turn right onto Strand Road. The Strand Hotel will be on your left-hand side. Sarkies Bar is located on the right side of the lobby level inside The Strand Hotel.

Public Transport
From Sule Pagoda, take any local bus heading towards the Yangon River. You can ask the bus conductor to drop you off at the Strand Hotel bus stop. Once you get off, walk a short distance towards the river, and you will see The Strand Hotel. Enter the hotel, and Sarkies Bar is located on the right side of the lobby level.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start from Botahtaung Pagoda. Head east on Botahtaung Road until you reach the junction with Strand Road. Turn left onto Strand Road and continue cycling along the river. Keep an eye out for The Strand Hotel, which will be on your left. Park your bicycle and enter the hotel; Sarkies Bar will be on the right side of the lobby level.

From the downtown area, find a tuk-tuk and tell the driver you want to go to The Strand Hotel. The driver will take you directly to the hotel. Once you arrive, enter through the main entrance, and Sarkies Bar is located on the right side of the lobby level.
