Walking
If you are in the southern part of Mayangone, head north towards Pyay Road. Depending on your exact location, you might want to ask a local for directions to Pyay Road. Once you reach Pyay Road, walk along the sidewalk heading towards the city center. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will see a large entrance gate to the Shwedagon Pagoda area on your left. Follow the signs to the pagoda entrance.

Public Bus
Locate the nearest bus stop in Mayangone and take a bus heading towards Sule Pagoda or the downtown area. You can ask locals for the correct bus number, but often buses with numbers 33 or 36 head towards Shwedagon Pagoda. The fare will be around 200-500 MMK (Myanmar Kyat). Get off at the stop closest to the pagoda, which is usually announced by the conductor. After getting off, follow the signs to the entrance of Shwedagon Pagoda.

Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service
If you prefer a more direct route, consider using a taxi or a ride-hailing service such as Grab. You can request a ride to 'Shwedagon Pagoda' through the app. The fare may range from 3,000 to 5,000 MMK depending on traffic and your exact location in Mayangone. The taxi will drop you off right at the entrance of the pagoda.
