Getting There

Walking
From the center of Walvis Bay, head west on Nangolo Mbumba Drive towards the beach. Keep walking until you reach the Atlantic Ocean, where you should turn left (south) onto the beachfront promenade. Continue walking along the promenade until you reach the end of the beach area. From there, you will need to navigate towards Pelican View by following the coastal road which will eventually turn into a dirt road leading to Pelican View. The destination will be approximately 3 kilometers from the promenade. Keep an eye out for signs pointing to Pelican View.

Bicycle
Start from the Walvis Bay town center and cycle towards the beach on Nangolo Mbumba Drive. Once you reach the beachfront, turn left and follow the promenade cycling south. Continue cycling until you reach the end of the beach. After reaching the end, look for a dirt road that leads away from the beach area towards Pelican View. It’s about a 3-kilometer ride from the beachfront to Pelican View. Ensure you have a bicycle suitable for dirt roads.

First, find a local taxi or shuttle service that operates in Walvis Bay. You can ask around at your accommodation for the nearest pick-up point. Once you are in the taxi, inform the driver that you wish to go to Pelican View. The taxi will take you along the main roads through Walvis Bay and drop you off near the coastal road leading to Pelican View. Be prepared to walk the last segment if the taxi cannot drop you off directly at the entrance. The total distance by taxi will be around 5 kilometers.
