Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from downtown North Platte, head east on East 4th Street until you reach the intersection with North Dewey Street. Turn left onto North Dewey Street and continue for about 0.5 miles until you reach East 10th Street. Turn right onto East 10th Street and walk for approximately 0.3 miles until you see the entrance to the North Platte River Trail on your left. Follow the trail which will lead you towards the Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park Museum. The trail will provide scenic views along the river and will eventually lead you to Scouts Rest Ranch Road. Continue walking until you reach 2921 Scouts Rest Ranch Rd, where the museum is located.

• Biking

  For those with bicycles, starting from the North Platte River Trailhead at the intersection of East 4th Street and North Dewey Street, follow the North Platte River Trail heading east. This scenic route will take you directly towards the Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park Museum. Stay on the trail until you reach the junction with Scouts Rest Ranch Road. Turn left onto Scouts Rest Ranch Road and bike approximately 0.5 miles to reach the museum located at 2921 Scouts Rest Ranch Rd.

• Public Transit

  Currently, public transit options may be limited in North Platte. However, you can check local bus schedules for routes that might take you close to the Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park Museum. If you find a suitable bus route, ride it to the nearest stop to the museum, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from the bus stop along Scouts Rest Ranch Road.
