Getting There

Walking
From the main square (Tundikhel) in Bandipur, start walking towards the Dumre-Bandipur Road. Follow the path leading uphill; you will see signs directing you towards Thani Mai. The walk is approximately 1.5 kilometers and will take about 30-40 minutes. The path is well-marked, with beautiful views on both sides. As you walk, enjoy the traditional architecture and local shops. Once you reach the road, continue to follow it until you reach the Thani Mai viewpoint, which is situated on the left side of the road.

Hiking
For a more adventurous route, you can take the hiking trail that starts near the entrance of Bandipur. Look for a sign that indicates the Thani Mai hiking path. This trail will lead you through lush forests and offer a more immersive experience of the local flora and fauna. The hike is steep at times but rewarding with scenic views. Allow about 1 hour for this hike. This trail will eventually connect with the Dumre-Bandipur Road, leading you to the Thani Mai observation deck.
