The journey to Taplejung will take approximately 8-10 hours depending on road conditions. Once in Taplejung, you can find shared jeep services heading towards Mudi. Ensure to confirm that the jeep is going to Mudi, as some may head to other destinations.

To reach Dhaulagiri I from Kanchenjunga Base Camp via public transport, start by taking a local bus from Kanchenjunga Base Camp to Phidim, which is a common route. This trip will take about 5 hours. Then, from Phidim, take a bus or shared jeep to Taplejung. Once in Taplejung, look for a shared jeep to Mudi. The total travel time may take up to 14 hours, so plan accordingly.

If you prefer a more adventurous route, you can trek from Kanchenjunga Base Camp towards Mudi. This will require a proper trekking permit and the company of a local guide for safety.
