Getting There

Walking
Start from Lakeside, Pokhara, which is a popular area for tourists. Head north along the main Lakeside road (Lake Side Marg) towards the Fewa Lake. Continue straight until you reach the intersection at the end of the lake. Take a left onto the Prithvi Highway (also known as the Pokhara-Baglung Highway). Walk along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will come across a sign for Mahendra Cave on your right-hand side. Follow the path to the entrance of the cave.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Lakeside, Pokhara. Start by cycling north along Lakeside road towards Fewa Lake. Once you reach the end of the lake, take a left onto the Prithvi Highway. Continue cycling for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see a sign for Mahendra Cave on your right. Park your bicycle in the designated area and walk to the entrance of the cave.

Local Bus or Microbus
From Lakeside, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for a local bus or microbus heading towards the Baglung area. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off at Mahendra Cave. The ride will take around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you get off, follow the signs to the entrance of Mahendra Cave, which is a short walk away.

Taxi (on foot to taxi stand)
Walk to the nearest taxi stand in Lakeside, which is usually located near the main road. Negotiate a fare with the taxi driver to take you to Mahendra Cave. The drive will take about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive, pay the driver and walk to the entrance of the cave.
