Getting There

Walking
If you are staying in Lakeside, start by heading north on the main street (Lakeside Road). Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with the main road (Prithvi Highway). Turn left onto Prithvi Highway and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will see signs pointing towards Mahendra Cave. The entrance to the cave is located on your right side, just after passing the small village of Batulechaur.

Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Lakeside. Begin your journey by cycling north on Lakeside Road. After about 1 kilometer, turn left onto Prithvi Highway. Continue cycling along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see signs for Mahendra Cave on your right. The cave entrance will be just after the village of Batulechaur.

Find a local bus heading towards Baglung or Beni from Lakeside. These buses usually stop at several places along Prithvi Highway. Make sure to inform the conductor that you want to get off at Mahendra Cave. The bus ride should take around 20-30 minutes. Once you get off, look for signs directing you to the cave, which should be a short walk from the bus stop.
