Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Gooi, take the A1 motorway towards Amersfoort. After about 20 km, merge onto the A28 towards Zwolle. Continue on the A28 for about 30 km, then take exit 9 towards Otterlo. Follow the signs for Otterlo and then for Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe. The entrance, Ingang Otterlo, is located at Houtkampweg 9, 6731 AV Otterlo. Parking is available at the entrance for a fee of around €10 per vehicle.

    Start by taking a train from Gooi to Ede-Wageningen station. You will need to change trains in Amersfoort or Utrecht, depending on your departure point. Upon arriving at Ede-Wageningen, exit the station and take bus line 108 towards Otterlo. Get off at the stop 'Houtkampweg' which is a short walk to Ingang Otterlo. The total journey can take around 1.5 to 2 hours, and the bus fare is approximately €3.50.
