Car
From any location in Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park, head towards the nearest major road and take the N348 towards the town of Raalte. Once you reach Raalte, continue on the N348 until you reach the junction with the N35. Merge onto the N35 and continue southbound. Follow the signs for Amerongen. As you approach Amerongen, take the exit toward Drostestraat. Castle Amerongen is located at Drostestraat 20, 3958 BK Amerongen. There is parking available near the castle, but be aware that there may be a parking fee of approximately €2 per hour. Ensure to check for any local parking regulations.

Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, start by taking a bus or train from your current location within Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park to Amersfoort Railway Station. From Amersfoort, take a train to Veenendaal-de Klomp Railway Station. Once you arrive at Veenendaal-de Klomp, you will need to transfer to bus line 50 toward Amerongen. The bus will take you directly to the center of Amerongen. Get off at the stop labeled 'Drostestraat'. From there, it is a short walk to Castle Amerongen, located at Drostestraat 20. Be aware that bus and train tickets will incur costs, typically around €5-€10 depending on your starting location.
