Walking
If you are near the central train station (Den Haag Centraal), exit the station and head southwest on the Koningin Julianaplein. Continue straight until you reach the crossing with the Anna Paulownastraat. Turn right onto Anna Paulownastraat and walk straight for about 10 minutes until you reach the Plein 1813 square. The Independence Monument will be located at Plein 1813 4, right in the center of the square.
Tram
From the central train station (Den Haag Centraal), take tram line 2 or line 6 towards 'Kijkduin' or 'Laan van Meerdervoort'. Get off at the 'Plein' stop. After exiting the tram, walk a short distance to the northwest towards Plein 1813. The Independence Monument will be directly ahead in the square.
Bicycle
If you have rented a bicycle, start from the city center and head towards the Plein 1813 square. Use the bike lanes and follow the signs towards 'Centrum'. Pedal westward on the Korte Voorhout and then turn left onto the Plein. Continue until you reach Plein 1813. The Independence Monument will be in the square.
Bus
From the central bus station (Den Haag Busstation), take bus line 22 towards 'Kijkduin'. Get off at the 'Plein' stop. From there, it’s a short walk to Plein 1813. Head northwest towards the square where you will find the Independence Monument.
