If you prefer to take public transport, walk to the nearest tram station, which is 'Lange Voorhout'. Take tram line 1 or 9 towards 'Scheveningen' or 'Noordeinde'. Get off at 'Buitenhof' (1 stop). From the tram stop, walk back a short distance along Buitenhof, and the Rijksmuseum de Gevangenpoort will be on your left. The tram ticket costs around €3.20.
