Walking
If you are starting from Utrecht Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main square (Jaarbeursplein). From there, walk towards the Vredenburg square. Continue straight onto the Vredenburg, then take a right onto the Korte Minrebroederstraat. Follow this road as it turns into the Minrebroederstraat. Keep walking straight until you reach the intersection with the Oudegracht canal. Turn left onto the Oudegracht and continue walking until you reach the end of the canal where it meets the Nieuwegracht. Cross the bridge at the end of the Oudegracht, and you will see signs leading to the direction of Rotterdam. Note that this part of the journey involves public transport as Utrecht is not directly connected to Rotterdam by foot. You will need to take a train from Utrecht Central to Rotterdam Central Station.
Train
From Utrecht Central Station, purchase a ticket to Rotterdam Central Station. Trains to Rotterdam depart frequently, approximately every 15 minutes. The journey takes about 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Rotterdam Central Station, exit the station and head towards the main exit. From there, you can either take a tram or walk to Oudehaven. If walking, head straight down the Weena street until you reach the Hofplein. Continue straight onto the Coolsingel, then take a left onto the Westblaak. Follow the signs towards the harbor area, and you will arrive at Oudehaven.
Tram
After arriving at Rotterdam Central Station, you can take tram line 7 or 20 towards the direction of the harbor. If you are on tram line 7, get off at the 'Beurs' stop. If you are on tram line 20, get off at the 'Eendrachtsplein' stop. From either stop, follow the signs towards the Oudehaven. It is a short walk from either stop, taking approximately 5-10 minutes. You will see the harbor area as you approach, and Oudehaven will be visible along the waterfront.
