Walking
From the Utrecht Central Station, exit the station and head towards the Vredenburg square. Walk straight across the square towards the Hoog Catharijne shopping mall. Once you are inside the mall, follow the signs pointing towards the bus station exit. Exit onto the Croeselaan street and turn right. Walk straight until you reach the bus stop 'Utrecht, Croeselaan'. Take bus number 120 towards Leiden. Get off at 'Leiden, Kruitschip'. From the bus stop, walk a short distance down Kruitschip street, and you will arrive at Van der Werf Park.
Train
From Utrecht Central Station, board a train heading towards Leiden. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Leiden Central Station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located just outside the station. Take bus number 2 towards 'Leiden, Kruitschip'. After about 5 minutes, get off at the 'Kruitschip' stop. Walk a few minutes down the Kruitschip street, and you will find Van der Werf Park on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops near Utrecht Central Station. Head west from the station towards the Vredenburg square, then follow the signs to the Oudhollandseweg. Continue cycling straight until you reach the intersection with the A12 highway. Here, turn left and follow the signs towards Leiden. It’s about a 30-minute bike ride to reach Van der Werf Park in Leiden.
