Starting from the entrance of Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, drive along the Scenic Loop Drive. Follow the scenic loop for about 5 miles. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Calico 1, which is located on the right side of the road. The parking area for Calico 1 is well-marked and provides ample space for vehicles. Note that there is a $15 entrance fee for a standard vehicle, which is valid for one day.

Public Transportation + Walking
If you are using public transportation, take the RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) bus route that services the Red Rock Canyon area. The closest stop is at the entrance to the park. From there, you will need to walk approximately 2 miles along Scenic Loop Drive to reach Calico 1. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes as the walk involves some elevation changes and exposure to the sun.

For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Las Vegas and take it to the Red Rock Canyon area. Once inside, you can cycle along Scenic Loop Drive.
